And they're off - Liz starts the first race as 400 leave town on a 106 mile adventure

Liz with one of the race organisers. After officially starting the first part of the race and seeing off around 400 competitors at 06.30 she popped home for breakfast. Another 900 competitors are due to go at 0800. 

Heading for the seafront and a run along the prom, across the Bailey Bridge and then up to Cawdor to get on their bicycles. More images on the Gurn later.
